BSA "Luzhniki"
The media facade of the Great Sports Arena of Luzhniki is the frontage - the record holder.
Almost 26 kilometers of LED lines cover an area of about 39,000 m2. Individual fabrication of various structural elements, installation of climate equipment for the uninterrupted operation of equipment, elaboration of equipment protection from the collapse of multiton snow-ice masses and the most powerful water flows, as well as the installation of the facade in winter made its implementation a very complicated technical and organizational project.
During the design and installation, we successfully tested all components in the Federal Research Institute of Fire Protection (VNIIPO) with a positive conclusion and defended their decision at the Central Research and Design Institute of Industrial Buildings and Structures (JSC TSNIIPromzdany).
The media facade features allow to broadcast both advertising content and information about the current competition, the current score of the match, the image of the flags of the participating teams, and much more in real time. On holidays, media roofing becomes one of the elements of the architectural illumination of the building and makes a deep impression due to its huge area.
The large sports arena is the main building of the Luzhniki complex, a legendary stadium opened in 1956.
Here were the largest Russian and world competitions.
At present, the "Big Sports Arena" has undergone reconstruction but has retained its historical appearance and roof. The stadium became one of the main arenas of the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
